Bart wakes up in the morning and realizes he is out of his favorite cereal. On his way to school, it rains and he ends up soaked walking. In the classroom, he realizes he forgot his homework and at lunch his pizza didn't have a lot of cheese, on his way home, he loses his favorite ball. Each time something bad happens, it is followed by something good. On Mr. McGuire's farm, all the animals have others who are similar to them. But when Digger comes to the farm, he isn't like anyone else on the farm. The others are curious about him and have him feeling like an outcast. What they quickly find, is that being different is great and even when we all look the same, there is something that makes each of us different.

Rocky has just moved into the area and made friends with Jacob, a quiet, reserved boy who was never part of the popular crowd. Rocky, on the other hand, craves to be part of the popular crowd and will do anything to prove that he is worthy. Bernard, the captain of the school football team gives Rocky all sorts of 'tests' to see if he is fit to be part of the popular crowd and eventually join the football team. Diane loves soccer and has a lucky ball of her own. When the coach calls her into the office, Diane forgets to bring her ball with her. When she comes back out, she finds that the ball is missing and she knows that she needs to solve the mystery before it is too late.

Boris is a 12 year old boy from Boston who has been sent to stay with his Grandparents in England for the Summer Holidays. Somewhat of a troublemaker at school, Boris has a surly and nasty personality that has been getting him in to trouble with his classmates and teachers.

Joey is one of the kids that everyone likes. He is pleasant, social and people are easily drawn to him. One day, he finds a group of older students who are picking on a younger student that is crying in the middle of the circle. The other kids ask Joey to step in and to help tease the other kid with them. Joey doesn't want to lose his popularity, but also doesn't want to tease the smaller child. He makes a difficult decision that has some very surprising results.

Billy is a quiet church mouse who doesn't have friends and spends his time on the playground living his own adventures. Thomas is a raccoon bully who picks on anyone who is different. During lunch recess, Thomas decides to go and pick on Billy and make fun of him for being different. Instead of letting the bully's words hurt him, Billy turns the teasing into a game and interacts in a manner that has Thomas looking at him in a whole new way. The pair eventually become friends and learns...

Sally is playing by herself near some bushes on a playground when she overhears two students that are talking about hurting another student. The other kids sound angry and Sally begins to wonder if she should tell an adult about what she heard. She doesn't want the other kids to get mad at her for telling on them, so she isn't sure about what to do. Ultimately, she does make the right decision, even though it is a difficult one.

James has been waiting all year to go to the fair. He loved the rides and the delicious food. But when he loses his parents in the crowd, he finds that the fair can be a very overwhelming place. Knowing that he needs to be brave, he seeks out the help of others to find his missing parents in an adventure that takes him through the park. Along the way he makes some new friends who help him to calm down.

Steve is on a round the world sailing trip with his family in their sail yacht. Steve comes from an unconventional family. His parents like to teach the children alternative ways of living, and focus more on experience building than a regular education. Steve is with his two younger sisters and two adult parents.
