Jupiter Kids

Reuben has been asking his parents for a new red wagon for weeks, having seen one in the local department store. They are always telling him 'maybe later', and his father in particular tells him to be happy with the old wagon he has. Reuben details for the readers some of the 'problems' with his own red wagon. There is a rust spot on the side, one of the wheels is squeaky, and it's sometimes hard to pull.

Diane loves soccer and has a lucky ball of her own. When the coach calls her into the office, Diane forgets to bring her ball with her. When she comes back out, she finds that the ball is missing and she knows that she needs to solve the mystery before it is too late.

Boris is a 12 year old boy from Boston who has been sent to stay with his Grandparents in England for the Summer Holidays. Somewhat of a troublemaker at school, Boris has a surly and nasty personality that has been getting him in to trouble with his classmates and teachers.

After hearing terrifying tales of the dentist from his older brother Ralph, Frances the rabbit is terrified. As he sits in the waiting room, his mind goes over all the terrifying things he says. When the dentist Mr. Tortoise comes to the door in a mask and calls back Frances goes and begins to cry. That is when Mr. Tortoise removes the mask and shows him that there is nothing scary in back and even shows him how to brush his teeth before sending him on his way with a lollipop.

Nadia is a dust mite. She and her family have lived for as long as she can remember under the sofa in a cabin in the woods. Joey is one of the kids that everyone likes. He is pleasant, social and people are easily drawn to him. The other kids ask Joey to step in and to help tease the other kid with them. Joey doesn't want to lose his popularity, but also doesn't want to tease the smaller child. He makes a difficult decision that has some very surprising results.

Billy is a quiet church mouse who doesn't have friends and spends his time on the playground living his own adventures. Thomas is a raccoon bully who picks on anyone who is different. During lunch recess, Thomas decides to go and pick on Billy and make fun of him for being different. Sally is playing by herself near some bushes on a playground when she overhears two students that are talking about hurting another student. The other kids sound angry and Sally begins to wonder if she should tell an adult about what she heard. She doesn't want the other kids to get mad at her for telling on them, so she isn't sure about what to do. Ultimately, she does make the right decision, even though it is a difficult one.
