Sing, Lost Soul is a celebration, a commemoration, an observance, an ode. Textured by time and toned by the world, this collection lauds life in both its profundity and simplicity. There is familiarity when reading Coppock's poems–a sense of experience, or at least a sense of perceiving experience. Like a dream, you slip in easily, remain awhile, and upon waking, the realization dawns: «I've been there before,» or, «I felt that once, long ago.» Weaving words to nurture and name the sensibilities of a soul is a poet's gift to the world.
